If you do not have the resources for debt settlement, if the debt collectors will not cut you a break, then don’t get mad, get even. Bankruptcy can re-set the playing field and get you a fresh start. The debt collectors may get nothing, but then again, they’re no friends of yours. Put the money they are trying to take from you back where it belongs, taking care of your family. Mark Twain, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, and Donald Trump all filed for bankruptcy protection for themselves or their companies at some point.
